BY2010 - March Blog Hop

I've had a terrible month of scrapping. I've hardly done any because I've had no inspiration at all. I haven't finished this page, but I think this is the final version (except I'm yet to do the journalling). Not much is stuck down.

My idea for myself was to use stitching and so I stitched without really knowing where I was going with it - so everything else is an after thought. For the hidden journalling I want to list everybody in the photo so I can remember in years to come. I still need to ask my mum who some of the people are - hence why I've not printed it out yet. Then I want to put some hand written text in the white space at the bottom, but not sure what to say yet.

Document 2010 - February Main Page

This is the Main Page for Document 2010: February. I used Black Magic Co'ordinations. I've embossed the swirls and sanded them over to reveal the pink underside.

Document:2010 January

These are my scrapbook pages for the Document:2010 project for January. The idea is to have 1 main page, 2 divider pages and the final page should be an envelope page holding all your stubs etc that you collected throughout the month. I didn't have enough bits, so I wrote some journalling instead.

BY2010 - March

Hi everyone! It's my turn to provide a sketch :s Kate at Liberty Cottage has encouraged me to come up with my own - so you can blame her for this! I've decided to have the sketch for a single large photo (but I guess you could do smaller ones together). Being that I'm doing my wedding album there are a few pages where I want to use single photos so it will be inspirational to see your interpretations.

Apologies for the sketch, my Gimp (or photoshop) skills are virtually non-existent as I'm a programmer and usually get the designers to do this sort of stuff :)

I'd like to encourage some journalling, so you've got 2 options. You can either add some hidden journalling behind the photo in a pocket with a pull tab or similar (that's what the box with an arrow is!), or you can add some small journalling at the bottom. Or both. Or none if you really hate journalling.

Is that all I need to do in this post? Message me if I'm missing anything!

BY2010 - February

February's Sketch was provided by Ks Crafty Corner:

Ks Crafty Corner

I made a double layout and turned one page on it's side:

The first page is a photo of our first dance (It seems to be the only photo we have of our first dance, hence why it's not the best). I've printed out the lyrics of our first dance song (If you're not the one).

The second page is photos from the last song of the night. My dad jumped in to dance with me half way through and we had a very emotional chat.

Next in the list is Liberty Cottage:

12 x 12 Storage solutions

I was looking for a way to store my 12x12 papers as cheaply as possible. After drooling over the £50 - £500 units I came across, I found an image on a thread of someone using cubes! I have loads of these cos we used to use them for the rabbits. My hubby washed them up for me and built this using cable ties :) I may spray it at some point (red probably to match the rest of the room), but I was itching to get my new papers in it. It fits perfectly on top of my ikea bookshelf too.

And this was just a quick test using some 'very' fine sand paper I got today from Wilkinsons. I think it's come up brilliant. It's Core'dinations paper with an embossed image which I've then sanded over to bring the under side colour through.
